The official statement presented the exchange as one centered on regional conditions and the need to preserve stability at a sensitive time for the region. According to the PIB, Modi condemned recent attacks on critical infrastructure in the region and said such actions threaten regional stability and disrupt vital global supply chains. The statement attributed those remarks directly to the Indian prime minister and positioned them as a central part of the conversation with the Iranian president.

The Indian side also said Modi reiterated the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and ensuring that international shipping lanes remain open and secure. In the official readout, that point appeared alongside his remarks on attacks on infrastructure and their effect on regional stability and supply chains. The statement also said Modi expressed appreciation for Iran’s continued support in ensuring the safety and security of Indian nationals residing in the country.
